Chinese New Year

With only a week to go till Chinese New Year and the year of the Rooster begins,  London is ready to dive into the New Year Celebrations.

The Chinese New Year Parade

When?: Sunday 29th January

Celebrations start the following day, kicking off with the parade, snaking through the streets of West End full of tradition and celebration. Finishing with fireworks in Trafalgar Square, it’s set for a grand finale and a brilliant start to the New Year.

V&A Museum Of Childhood

When: Saturday 14th February

For all ages offering as fun filled day of music and dance. Among the many workshops; mask making, costume and calligraphy classes will be offered, perfect for children to get into the Chinese New Year spirit!

The Grand Chinese New Year Concert

When: February 7th, Barbican Centre

Celebrating the 20th CNY concert, it’s safe to say it keeps getting better. Live performances by Shaanxi Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra and Zhejiang Traditional Orchestra. Why not come and join the celebrations of the year of the rooster.

Magical Lantern Festival

When: Until 26th February, Chiswick House and Gardens

For the second annual year, this year is going to be bigger and better including: VR and theatre performances. Be sure to check out the giant fire rooster among over 50 light installations.
