A Day At Hogwarts

Today is a year since the death of Alan Rickman. A flawless actor best well know for his role as Severus Snape in all eight films.

Ever wondered how Warner Brothers built a set as good as Hogwarts? Your questions can be answered, in memory of Snape himself, we’re giving you an exclusive insight of Harry Potter Studio Tour, Watford.

The Great Hall

One of the most iconic sets of the Harry Potter saga you’re greeted by the Great Hall. You also find out the secrets of the enchanted ceiling!

There’s also a selection of the outfits from the films on display, including this shameful suit worn by Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) at the Yule Ball in the Goblet of Fire.

Gryffindor Common Room

The common room was introduced in The Philosopher’s Stone. Can you figure out which film the outfits are from?

Snape’s Potion class

Snape’s potion class is a big feature and even offers interactive elements to the set.

Don’t forget to grab some butter beer whist you’re there, it’s safe to say you’ll either love it or hate it!

Yes this is the REAL Digon Alley, unlike the one in Florida this was specially built and has never been taken down since the start of filming in 2000.

A fairly new addition you can now hop on to the Hogwarts Express, but be careful of the Dementors!

The size of this model of Hogwarts is impeccable, one of the many must see’s of the tour.

There’s also a gift shop selling sweets from the film, plus wands and Hogwarts house merchandise.

Basically all prepped for a term at Hogwarts (one wishes!)
